General Lithium Polymer Notes
Don’t over run your batteries. Lithium Polymer batteries should not be discharged below 3.0v per cell. This can damage the chemistry of the battery and cause it to go bad.
Always inspect Lithium Polymer batteries prior to use. Do not use if the battery is damaged or swollen. Always inspect the battery if it has been involved in a crash.
Don’t allow Lithium Polymer batteries to overheat. They should not reach temperatures above 140° F. If your battery feels hot, allow it to cool before charging or using.
Store Lithium Polymer batteries in a secure place, out of reach of children. Do not store in an area where they may be exposed to temperature extremes. Be sure that the wires cannot short circuit before storing.
Lithium Polymer batteries should be recycled. Do not throw them in the trash. To find out where they can be turned in for recycling, check with your local waste management. |
